By the River, Learning Together河畔共学,一动一静
On 12 September 2026, a riverside practice in Singapore brought a small group together: hands held softly before the body, arms lifted, and time given to watching and learning.
A white bridge curves across the background. Beneath the shelter, the tiled floor gives each person a place to stand. The photographs from 12 September hold a quiet sequence: a group facing the person demonstrating, a closer exchange beside a tree, and raised hands echoed by a participant nearby.
In one frame, hands rest in an open curve before the body. In another, palms rise beside the head. The details are small, but they give the morning its shape: looking closely, allowing space, and following a movement together.
One photograph brings the exchange closer. A participant faces the demonstrator, a towel over her shoulder, while a hand gesture holds her attention. The picture does not tell us what was said; it preserves the care of a moment spent learning face to face.
Beyond the practice space are apartment buildings, trees and the river. Here, cultural practice shares the same setting as an ordinary city morning. A bridge, a few square metres of tiles, and people willing to gather become the setting for shared attention.
This session belongs to Lee Wudang SG’s Singapore Charity Morning Workout programme, advertised for 12–22 September 2026, 7:30–8:30am, in River Valley near Havelock MRT.
