Daoist landscape painter · courtesy name Manzhi 漫之, studio name Dangxia Yunlu 当下云庐
Born in 1970 in Yunyang, Hubei, Chen Haichao settled on Wudang Mountain. He holds his own views on the theory of art, and has long been steeped in Daoist thought, with a keen interest in philosophy grounded in his own experience. He works among mountains and waters, drawing on Wudang’s Daoist culture.
His works hang throughout the East Garden, which also draws many visitors to gather there.
